Sherlene Kee graduated from LaTrobe University Australia with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Orthoptics) in 2000. Upon graduation, she started working at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore (TTSH) as an orthoptist. She was involved in several projects such as glaucoma screening, amblyopia/ strabismus screening as well as myopia control during her time at TTSH. She was later promoted to Acting head of Optometry and Ophthalmic Technician Team and was actively involved in clinic management.

Sherlene moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2003 and started working in various public hospitals and private eye centres in the Klang Valley as a visiting Orthoptist. She has since participated in continuous medical education for medical officers during her time at the public hospitals and has given demonstrations on orthoptic assessments to medical officers as well as optometry students. Sherlene has been providing orthoptic services at ISEC since 2008.

Sherlene is married with 3 girls and enjoys cooking and baking for her family and friends.
